About us
This site has been set up to create a blast of joyful noise in anticipation of the State visit of His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI, to the United Kingdom.
The Papal visit on the 16th to 19th September, 2010, is the first ever State visit of a Pope to this country, and children up and down the country will be waiting, excitedly, to catch a glimpse of this much-loved leader of the Roman Catholic Church.
While a few children will be lucky enough to meet Pope Benedict face to face at St Mary’s University College, Strawberry Hill, most children will only be able to follow the events on television.
So, this blog site is for all those primary school children who won’t get to meet or greet the Pope in person, but who would dearly love to ask the questions burning within them.
The majority of the questions posted on this site are the fruits of a short talk about the Pope - who he is, what he does, and his visit to the UK - given to children at liturgy groups and a primary school.
A huge thank you to all the children who have so far participated in ‘Kids Quiz the Pope’. What fabulous questions!
